Do Indians Need a Visa for Greece?

Yes, any Indian national with an Indian passport needs to get a visa to enter the country. This tourist visa is called a Schengen visa and allows you to visit Greece and other countries in the Schengen zone for up to 90 days. If you apply through Greece, that must be the first country you visit.

The reason for insisting that you get all the right travel certification is to ensure safety and transparency around the people entering the country and entire Schengen Area. The Greek government will consider all applications and you will get an answer to your request from the Greek Embassy.

Greece eVisa for Indians

There is currently no facility to use the Byevisa service to get a Greek e-visa, meaning that you will need to apply for your own and work through the process carefully.

When it comes to the Greek visa requirements for Indians, you need to apply no later than 15 days before you leave for your trip and no earlier than 6 months before your departure date. When you get your authorised paperwork back, you will find that the date of issue is the date that it becomes valid rather than the date you arrive in the country.
