Byevisa » Obtain Your Cambodia Tourist Visa Now (eVisa)

An eVisa is required. We can assist in processing this document.

All About the Cambodia Visa

Are you visiting Cambodia in the foreseeable future? If so, whatever you intend to see and do there, you probably need a travel authorisation to enter the Southeast Asian nation.

Fortunately then, it may interest you to know that since April 2006, there’s been an Electronic Visa (eVisa) system to obtain authorisation to enter the country. Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation set this up to facilitate tourist visits to the country, and increase the Kingdom’s reputation around the world.

Cambodia’s eVisa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue, allows visits of up to 30 days, and permits a Single Entry into the country. To obtain yours, all you have to do is follow a few simple steps with Byevisa.

You need a passport that’s valid for at least 6 months from when you’ll enter the country, a passport photo, as well as to scan your passport’s personal bio page. You also require health insurance, and supporting documents such as a letter of invitation or sponsorship.

So no longer do you have to journey to your nearest embassy or consulate, stand in long lines or fill in complicated forms! Byevisa makes getting your travel authorisation a piece of cake.

Cambodia eVisa Application Process

To get your Cambodia travel pass online with Byevisa takes only a few minutes of your time. To be eligible you need:

  • A passport that’s valid for at least 6 months from when you plan to enter. For example, if you enter the country on January 1st, your passport must be valid until July 1st as a minimum.
  • Health insurance.
  • Supporting documents (such as a letter of invitation, of employment, of sponsorship, of a job contract, an investment project, or a patent certificate).
  • A passport-size photograph of yourself. This should be 35x45mm and in colour. The image background should be white or off-white. You should be looking straight ahead with a relaxed face without smiling, and not wearing any clothing that covers your face. The file to upload should be up to 2MB in size.
  • A scan of your passport’s personal bio page. This must be in JPG, JPEG, PNG or PDF format, and up to 2MB in size.

Click ‘Apply Now’ and enter some personal details. These include your email address, so that we can send you your approved travel authorisation. These also include your name, and your passport issue date and expiry date, to process your application.

Click the ‘payment’ button and enter your debit/credit card or PayPal details. You pay the Cambodian government’s USD 0.00 fee, as well as Byevisa’s processing fee to process your application on your behalf. Our fee depends on whether you select our Standard, Rapid or Highly Rapid service. With Byevisa, you save the time and inconvenience of applying for your travel pass yourself.

That’s it! We send you your authorisation from 24 hours to 3 business days, depending on which Byevisa service you’ve selected, and how fast you need your pass. In the meantime, you can sit back and plan your trip to Southeast Asia.

Cambodia Visa Requirements and Eligibility

You’re eligible for travel authorisation if you’re a citizen of any country except:

  • Afghanistan
  • Algeria
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Pakistan
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Sri Lanka
  • Sudan
  • Syria

Also, if you’re a citizen of the following countries, you don’t need an eVisa to enter Cambodia. Instead, you can enter with just your passport. These countries are:

  • Brunei
  • Indonesia
  • Laos
  • Malaysia
  • Myanmar
  • Philippines
  • Singapore
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

Please note that the Cambodia visa online is for tourist visits only. If you plan to visit the country for other reasons, like for business or to study, you’ll need an alternative authorisation.

The visitor document is valid for 90 days after issue. However, you can only visit the Southeast Asian country for a maximum of 30 days with your travel pass. This gives you some leeway from the date you apply for your visa to when you travel. For example, let’s say that you apply for your authorisation on January 1st. In this case, you can enter the country at any date up to March 31st.

That said, you can apply to stay longer with your travel pass once you’re there. To extend your eVisa by another 30 days when you’re in the country, visit your nearest police station or immigration office. You will need to pay a fee.

Keep in mind that this eVisa is a Single Entry authorisation, not Multiple Entry. This means that you can only enter once with your pass, not go in and out repeatedly.

Importantly, be sure to print 2 copies of your travel pass to take with you. Give the first copy to the immigration officials when you enter the country, and the second when you leave.

Your passport won’t be stamped and you won’t receive a sticker when you enter. This is because it’s an Electronic Visa, digitally tied to your passport.

Please bear in mind that you’re only authorised to enter Cambodia at the following points with your eVisa:

  • Bavet (Svay Rieng)
  • Cham Yeam (Koh Kong)
  • Phnom Penh International Airport
  • Poi Pet (Banteay Meanchey)
  • Siem Reap International Airport
  • Sihanoukville International Airport
  • Tropaeng Kreal Border Post (Stung Treng)

Lastly, if you’re travelling there from a country at risk of yellow fever, you need to be vaccinated first. To check if this applies to you, visit the World Health Organisation’s page.
