All About Qatar eVisas

Dreaming of sunny skies, sandy beaches and futuristic skyscrapers? Sounds like you might be planning to visit Qatar. When making your travel preparations, it’s important to take care of the essentials, like applying for your Qatar tourist visa.

With your travel authorisation, you can visit the peninsular country for up to 30 days. That’s more than enough time to snorkel through tropical fish, stroll along the Doha Corniche or head to the desert for a dune bashing adventure. This travel pass is valid for a Single Entry only.

But first, you need to understand what your requirements are before you travel. We’ll walk you through all the details of who needs a visa, how and when to apply, and important things to keep in mind.

What Is the Difference Between a Qatar Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) vs a Visa on Arrival (VoA)?

VoA

Nationals of over 80 countries are able to travel to Qatar without getting prior authorisation (see a full list of these countries below). Instead of a Qatar Visa on Arrival, they are issued a Visa Exemption on Arrival when they pass through border security, provided that they present a valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity and a confirmed return or onward ticket.

ETA

Citizens of countries who are not eligible for visa exemption but do hold a valid residence permit or visit visa to Australia, Canada, GCC, New Zealand, Schengen countries, UK or USA can apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) online with Byevisa. This document will allow you to travel.

You can find more information about each type below.
