Costa Rica Health Pass

Whether you’re looking for relaxation or adventure, to discover wildlife or take a dip in crystal clear waters, Costa Rica is a popular travel destination for sun-seekers and nature lovers alike. If you’re planning a trip to this Central American country, you’ll need to consider what health requirements you need to meet before travel.

Costa Rica has introduced its own health certificate to control the spread of the coronavirus, similar to the systems other countries have in place. The Costa Rica Health Pass ensures that you are either vaccinated or have travel insurance to cover medical bills you may incur to cover COVID-19 treatment during your stay.

Anyone who’s visiting the country must complete a Health Pass form. Byevisa can provide this for you, as we offer the Health Pass to anyone who is planning a trip for business or tourist purposes.

Read on for more details about the Costa Rica Health Pass, and what you need to do to apply.

All About the Costa Rica Health Pass

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many countries have set up their own travel permit or system to allow tourists to visit their country. Costa Rica has its own Health Pass, which enables international visitors to travel here in a safe and controlled way. It enables officials to keep people safe and to control the spread of the pandemic.

All passengers – whether you’re a tourist, a resident or a national – need to complete this form, so you will need to complete it too! This mandatory form is available online and Byevisa can facilitate this in our easy and quick online application. Once completed, you will receive a QR code to show authorities at border control. You need to take this code with you to the airport, but you don’t need to print it. Just make sure that you can show it on an electronic device.

If you’re travelling with children, you’ll need to fill out a Health Pass form on their behalf. This also applies to any of your dependents if you’re travelling with them.

The Health Pass is not the same as a visa. If you need to obtain a visa for travel here, you’ll need to go through the usual process. Check our Costa Rica Visa page for more details and guidance.
