As mentioned above, at the time of writing, there’s no Japan e-Visa for Pakistan citizens available. Fortunately, though, Japan is set to unveil its Electronic Visa in time for the Tokyo Olympic Games. So when this happens, Pakistanis may be eligible to apply for their travel document online, which is far more convenient than visiting the embassy.

To apply for a visa for Japan from Pakistan, you require the following:
- An application form for yourself and all your travel companions, filled in and signed.
- A passport photograph, measuring 4.5cm x 4.5cm, taken in the last 6 months.
- A valid passport.
