If you’re hoping to explore Mexico’s beaches and bustling cities or discover more about this fascinating culture, you may be wondering if there are any additional health requirements now in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mexico has a Health Questionnaire in place, which asks its visitors a number of questions in relation to their health including symptoms of COVID-19. It is a specific COVID-19 document that must be obtained before travel.
This health permit is required by international visitors to enter the country, as part of health and safety measures and to help control the spread of coronavirus.
The good news is Byevisa can provide your travel authorisation. All you need to do is fill out our online form in a matter of minutes and you’ll soon be on your way to start your adventure. Read on for more information about obtaining your permit and how to apply.
All About the Mexico Health Questionnaire
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all visitors to the country must now obtain authorisation to enter Mexico. Mexico’s travel certificate is a mandatory document that enables safe entry into the country. If you haven’t completed the Health Questionnaire, you cannot visit.
All air passengers regardless of nationality need to fill out an online form and gain approval through the Health Questionnaire before you’re allowed to enter the country. If you’re over the age of 18 years, you should register for your own form. If you’re travelling with anyone under 18, you can complete their form on their behalf.
The good news is this document can be obtained by completing an application form online with Byevisa in just a few minutes. You can use our fast and simple system to complete the form and take the stress out of acquiring your entry pass.
Once you’ve completed the form, we will send you a QR code to show authorities during your journey. You need to complete a health form for every trip to Mexico, as the QR code that’s generated is valid for Single Entry use.
Notably, if you’re arriving via a land border, this document isn’t required. You can enter the country without having to fill out a form.
Also, it’s important to note that the Mexico Health Questionnaire is not the same as a standard visa. If you’re required to obtain a visa to visit, you will still need to apply for this separately.
In particular, all international visitors travelling for short stays for tourist or business purposes must register for an FMM tourist card for Mexico. You’ll need to complete this before entering, whether by air or by land. You can learn more on our Mexico Visa page.
