Application Process – Vietnam Visit Visa for Pakistanis

There are 2 options for Pakistani citizens looking to obtain travel authorisation to visit the country as a tourist.

1. You can apply for it at your local Vietnam Embassy

Officials at the consulate can stamp your authorisation into your passport ahead of your trip, so you can present it to immigration officers on arrival. The processing time for this is 4-5 working days.

2. Apply for a Visa on Arrival

This is only an option if you are flying into the country; for example, if you are taking a flight to Tan Son Nhat International.

Vietnam Visa Requirements for Pakistani Citizens

To secure travel authorisation to explore the beaches and temples of this Southeast Asian country, you must meet a few standard requirements:

  • Passport requirements

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after you enter the country.

You must have blank pages left in order for officials to stamp in your visa authorisation.

If you are applying for a business visa rather than a tourist one, some additional documentation is required.

You will also need:

  • A business letter from either the sending company or sponsoring host company introducing the applicant and stating the purpose of the business that will be conducted

Vietnam Visa Form for Pakistanis

To ensure quick processing, fill out your form as carefully as possible.

You will need to enter some personal information like:

  • Your full name, D.O.B and place of birth.
  • Your gender.
  • Your nationality.
  • Your contact information.

You will also need to specify your entry and exit dates and the type of visa you’re applying for. A recent passport photo will need to be affixed to your application.

Vietnam Visa on Arrival for Pakistani

As we mentioned, one of your options for getting travel authorisation to Vietnam is to get a Visa on Arrival (VoA).

This saves you the time and effort of having to take a trip to the embassy. It is suitable only for travellers flying into the country. If you will be entering the Republic another way, you will need to visit the embassy in person.

If you opt for the VoA option, you will still need to obtain a visa approval letter before you depart. This can be done quickly online via any internet-enabled electronic device on a Vietnam evisa website.

The email confirmation will be sent to the email address you register, so you can show it to immigration officials when you land. You will then need to pay the stamping fee and, once this is done, you will be free to explore this marvellous country for as long as your travel authorisation permits.

If you are planning to travel to other parts of Southeast Asia during your trip, you should check the specific requirements for each country you plan to visit so you don’t run into any issues.

What Is the Vietnam Visa Fee for Pakistanis?

The cost of the fees varies depending on how you choose to obtain your travel authorisation.

To obtain a VoA, there are 2 separate fees that you will need to pay:

  1. The service fee – the visa approval letter processing charge.
  2. Stamping fee – this needs to be paid in cash to the Immigration Officer when you land at Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat or another Vietnamese Airport to receive the visa stamp.

Price of Single Entry visa stamping – 25 USD.

Cost for Multiple Entry – 50 USD (both passes are valid for 3 months).

If you choose to get your pass in advance via the Vietnam embassy, you will need to check the cost for this as fees vary depending on which consulate you visit.
