Don’t worry though, Byevisa can help you with the whole process, from start to finish, to ensure that you have everything you’ll need done and dusted before you start your journey.

Here we answer questions such as whether you need a visa, how to get one, how long it lasts and provide other useful information to aid in your travels.

Do Indians Need a Visa for Malaysia?

Yes, as a tourist you need a travel authorisation. The type you choose depends on how long you stay. If you want to make a short visit of 15 days or less, you can register via the eNTRI system for a visa-free entry. If you want to stay longer, you can apply for an eVisa and visit for up to 30 days. Byevisa can help with either of these documents.

How to Get a Malaysia Tourist Visa for Indians

Before you travel, you’ll need to get an eNTRI or a visa. Byevisa can process either of these for you, taking all the hassle out of your journey.

If you are traveling for 15 days or less, simply sign up for the eNTRI with Byevisa. You must fill in personal information such as your name and address, passport information and need to provide details of your onward journey.

You can choose to have your eNTRI application processed within 1 hour, 4 hours or 1 working day, but you must obtain it at least 48 hours before your flight leaves.

For longer stays of up to 30 days, you need to apply for an e-visa. To obtain one using Byevisa’s service, you’ll need a valid passport that’s valid for 6 months after the entry date, proof of onward journey, proof of funds and to provide personal information. You can have it processed in 6, 4 or 2 business days.

Malaysia Visa for Indians on Arrival

In the past, many Indian nationals obtained a Visa on Arrival. For this type of authorisation, you need a valid passport, boarding pass and completed application form. You must be entering the country from Singapore, Thailand or Indonesia and possess a valid visa for the country you entered from. You cannot travel directly from India. You also need proof of your onward journey and proof of funds, including at least 500 USD in cash (or equivalent in Malaysian ringgit) and money to pay for the authorisation.

However, due to the introduction of the eNTRI, which allows for a 15-day stay, Visas on Arrival are no longer necessary. The eNTRI has many advantages. You can travel directly from India, and you don’t have to wait in a queue and fill out forms at the airport. It is a much speedier process and is even less work and stress for you when organised by Byevisa. Make sure to obtain yours at least 48 hours before your flight.

How Much Is the Malaysia Visa Cost for Indian Nationals?

There are costs involved with any of the 3 ways you can enter Malaysia as an Indian citizen. It costs 21.50 USD for the eNTRI system, 45 USD for a tourist eVisa and 47 USD (200 ringgit) for a Visa on Arrival. There are additional processing fees for using the Byevisa service.
