About the Thailand Visa for Indians Online
In 2015, the Thai government introduced the Thailand Visa on Arrival process for citizens of 28 different countries, one of which was India. This allowed tourists to obtain their travel authorisation on arrival in the country through certain ports and airports.
In 2018, the process was simplified further by opening up the eVisa process. This allows a pre-authorisation to be obtained over the internet before travelling. Although this isn’t an actual travel authorisation, it does allow one to be obtained much more quickly on arrival by enabling the holder to enter a special queue that bypasses the long lines.
