What Are the eVisa-Eligible Countries for Russian Passport Holders?

Don’t despair if a country isn’t listed as visa-free for Russian citizens. A further 30 counties welcome online applications via an e-Visa (Electronic Visa) before you embark on your travel.

An eVisa is always pretty straightforward to obtain and gives you the security of having your documentation in advance of your flight. In recent years, the list of countries issuing eVisas has continued to grow, including for Russian passport holders.

An eVisa is still a proper visa though. There will always be an application form that needs to be completed before you head for your flight, and the type of information required will be both personal and related to your trip (flight number, accommodation, duration of your stay etc). There will usually be a charge for applying too.

Our specialism at Byevisa is the online eVisa process. If the country you want to access is listed below, we can help you complete the application. This way, you can get on with planning the sites and experiences you’ll enjoy on your trip!

What About the Countries Not Listed?

If the country you want to visit isn’t featured anywhere in the 3 lists above, then unfortunately you will need to go through an embassy visa application process.

This means you will need to contact the embassy or consulate of that particular country and discuss with them submitting a formal application. The best way to start this process is to use our embassies finder page to track down the correct diplomatic mission.

On the bright side, you can usually get all the information you need online in advance to prepare for your embassy visit and the formal application. Sometimes there’s even the opportunity to download the actual forms online, so you know beforehand exactly which details you’ll need to provide to obtain your entry pass.

Also, you can often contact the relevant embassy in advance and book a clear slot to go in and visit, which makes things easier too.
